Pixel roses

Just in time for all the crazy holiday sales over at S6 (seriously go check them out), I have uploaded a variation of my Pixel Roses to S6.

Along with my Knitting Kit Tote, the Roses are my most popular item, to be more precise, the BATHMAT is my most popular item, who saw that coming? I didn't.

One of the reasons I like Society6 so much isn't just the quality of their products and customer service (5 star) it's that I get to publish things to see if people like them, without having to make a huge investment or commitment. Sometimes the things we like the least do the best and vice versa. Things like the bathmat. I'm still learning and growing as an artist, so it's nice to be able to find my style without too much pressure. I want to make things that I like, but I also want to make things that other people are interested in.

It's also great cause lately I am really focusing on churning out content, getting things finished. I'll decide later if I like them or not, but for now, I just want to be finishing things and putting them out into the world to see how people react to them. Technically I had much more elaborate plans for this Pixel Rose, but I was having a hard time getting it just right. So I scarped the bigger plans and published it as is. and low and behold, I really like it, and so do other people. My mom even likes it!

New Designs and Products are live!

I put my first product up on Creative Market today and I couldn't be more excited. I make so much stuff that I don't always use, so it's nice to be able to share it with others and make a little money at the same time. Check it out!

I also added a new design to Society6

It's a black and white inky texture, and it's got that great minimal look without being boring. Society6 is great cause you can get some great art and designs by independent artist printed on high-quality goods.

Check them out!

New beer labels in time for summer

With the coming of summer in Montreal, comes the summer beers. GD and I whipped up an American style Lemon Hefeweizen, and after bottling it and smelling all its fresh lemoney goodness, I couldn't help but be inspired. I whipped up these labels based on a photo I took at my parents cottage and a fun playful font. I have to say I am pretty happy with them and look forward to seeing them on the bottles and the beer in my glass.
